Apple releases iOS 12.4.2 update: Reports

There are reports that Apple has released the iOS 12.4.2 update on Thursday as an over-the-air update. The update which the tech giant released on Thursday was quite unexpected and the update is available for the devices including iPad Air, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus.

We already know that the devices for which the new update is available are not supported by iOS13, but this does not make Apple abandon them completely. We have reports that these devices were updated to iOS 12.4.1 last month with a fix for a major vulnerability.

Though there are still no reports regarding what actually is new in the iOS 12.4.2 update, there are chances that Apple might have rolled the update for better and improved security in its devices.

As at present we have limited information about the new update from Apple, we will soon update the article when we will get similar information.

For those who have a new iOS device that does support iOS 13, there is good news for you. We have reports that Apple is introducing iOS 13.1 this week and the update will include several new features and bug fixes.
