The new FIFA game, FIFA 21 is to be released this year and fans are eagerly waiting for its Air Date and new features! While the launch is anticipated in 2020, but the current pandemic may have delayed its release by a little bit. In this article, we will take a look at all you need to know about the new FIFA 21 game, so read on!
Between FIFA and its competitor Pro Evolution Soccer, it is more than evident that FIFA is the more successful of the two as it is played more all around the world and has more features that support its fan base and gameplay. FIFA 21 was first revealed during June’s EA Play online conference. The trailer that was released along with Madden 21’s trailer left fans with barely any information on what is to be expected.
The first trailer was revealed along with the trailer for Madden NFL 21 and was a solely visual one, it however, offers no information on aspects such as the new modes or mechanics or gameplay of the new game.
There is still no word on the release of the demo for FIFA 2, but we can take a look at the previous games to get an idea. In the previous games, it was dropped about two weeks before the scheduled release of the actual game. And so, using this logic, it seems safe to assume that the demo will be launched at the end of September sometime. In addition to this, there is no information of what teams will be playable in the FIFA 21 demo.
Pre – Order And Bonuses
The FIFA 21 game can be pre-ordered right now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. If one decides to pre-order the Champions or Ultimate Edition, players will be able to play the game three days in advance, which is, on October 6th.
Though there has been close to nothing released on FIFA 21, EA is trying to get players to pre-order the game by issuing various bonuses with the same, these include-

As of now, the cover for FIFA 21 has not yet been released, but, it is sure that the cover star for this year’s game will definitely be a pre-order bonus as a loan item in Ultimate team. In the previous year, Virgil Van Dijk and Eden Hazard were the stars on the cover and sure enough, both featured again in the FIFA 21 EA Play trailer. Paris St. Germain’s Kylian Mbappe who is a very likely candidate to feature on the cover was quite the focus in the trailer this year as well.
Till now, there is still very little known about the changes in the gameplay for FIFA 21. We only have a few details and those are as follows. There will be major improvements and advancements being made for the next-gen versions of the game, courtesy of the Feel Next Level page on EA’s website.
So, mainly from a graphical point of view, we can expect “Off-Ball Humanization”, this is a series of player animations that is to increase realism in the game and create more immersion for players. There is also going to be “Reimagined Player Bodies” that have a “deeper definition in player physique” and new lighting to make everything look more authentic.
We expect to have more information by August which includes news on VOLTA, Career Mode, Ultimate Teams, and Pro Clubs.
FIFA 21 Air Date
FIFA 21 Air Date is set for October 9th, 2020. Usually, the FIFA games release around the end of September but due to the ongoing pandemic, there has been a delay in the production of the game. However, those that pre-order the game will have a slight advantage over the rest and will be able to play the game three days in advance, that is, October 6th.
Members of EA Access and Origin Access will be able to play even earlier than that, on October 1st with Play First Trials. The Air Date of October 9th is only for the current generation consoles and for the new-gen consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X) there is no official Air Date as yet but it is expected to release on these platforms by the end of 2020. The Nintendo Switch version also has no Air Date as yet.
For the next-gen consoles, which are the PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles, FIFA 21 will be equipped with Dual Entitlement, which means that your current-gen version of the game and progress can be transferred over to the next-gen consoles for free. This will run all the way till the release of FIFA 22 next year.
On these new consoles, FIFA 21 will be digital-only but players will physical discs will be allowed to insert that disc into the new consoles also, by doing so they will redeem digital download of the same. But for this, one will require to purchase a console with a disc tray. This means that if you are buying your new console without a disc tray then buy FIFA 21 digitally to be able to get your Dual Entitlement for the same.
