For those of you who are not aware of the game, Final Fantasy XIV was a sensational online multiplayer role-playing game developed by Microsoft Windows personal computers. It was developed and published by Square Enix in 2010. Final Fantasy XIV is the fourteenth entry in the Final Fantasy series and overall the second MMORPG in the series after Final Fantasy XI.

FINAL FANTASY XIV Online: Update Details

Final Fantasy XIV is going to come with Patch 5.3 update. This was made clear in the latest trailer for the MMORPG. The update of Final Fantasy XIV’s Patch 5.3 will mainly bring Reflections in Crystal including the finale of the Shadowbringers storyline to the game. Besides, the final chapter lies in the NieR-inspired YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse alliance raid series.

There is going to be a Realm Reborn main scenario questline update. It will also come with an expanded free trial which will let players unlimited playtime up through level 60. On top of it, there will also be access to Heavensward content, a new trial, new quests.

FINAL FANTASY XIV Online: Air Date And Update Details

Recently Square Enix announced the Air Date of Patch 5.3 Update. This update was originally supposed to happen on June 16 but it had to be postponed due to delays in production schedules that arose from the pandemic. Tha delay thankfully wasn’t long since it was only bumped back by a few weeks.

The game producer and director Naoki Yoshida himself wrote on FFXIV’s official forums. He said he would like to apologize to his players for the delay of Patch 5.3–Reflections in Crystal. He mentioned the update was originally scheduled to release on June 16th. Naoki also said that his development and operations teams and the QA testing teams have experienced too many setbacks due to the novel (), but they are going to go ahead with the release. Naoki Yoshida also said that their development production is back on course, and they have settled on a new patch release schedule.

Final Fantasy XIV’s Patch 5.3 arrives on August 11, 2020. The update will let players play up to level 60 instead of level 35. Up until now. the free trial only consisted of players reaching level 35 and stopping there. But now they can play the basic jobs and races available in A Realm Reborn. The entire Patch 5.3 is planned for August 11, and more changes are coming to the free trial experience. These changes are: players will be able to quests up to Heavensward with patch 3.56, they can also access classes such as Dark Knight, Astrologian, and Machinist and moreover, they can play as an Au’Ra.

YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse is a 24-player game.

More information says that these huge changes are coming with Patch 5.3, and will also be included in the Starter Edition.

Square Enix’s MMORPG keeps breaking records. The FF14 player count worldwide has hit 20 million, and the free trial is expanding to level 60. It is ahead of the patch 5.3 Air Date and thus things are only looking good or the update.

Yoshida said that they did everything they could to try and release the Patch 5.3 update at some point in mid-July. However, in the end, they were determined to spend more time to thoroughly test and debug the next alliance raid of YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse. Besides according to him, the new large-scale encounters of the resistance weapons content also needed more time.
