But, don’t lose hope as there is still plenty to look forward to!

The series, “Queen Of The South” is a story of a woman named Teresa Mendoza who is forced to run and seek refuge in the United States. This is because of her boyfriend who is a drug dealer, after he is murdered in Mexico. Eventually, she finds her strength and she forms an alliance with someone from her past to try and bring down the very drug trafficking ring that she was initially on the run from. The author of the novel, Perez-Reverte has said that one of the real life characters that was an inspiration for his novel was Sandra Avil Beltran. She is also known as “Queen of the Pacific” and is known around the world for being a female drug trafficker and she also took the place of “Boss” in famous cartels which was quite unheard of as she is a woman.

The series has a fascinating cast and an intriguing set of characters that makes the pull to the show quite irresistible.
