WWE’s live events often bring unexpected surprises, and the recent WWE live event in Johnson City, Tennessee, was no exception. Drew McIntyre, a former World Champion, suffered a loss that put an end to his impressive undefeated streak in a singles match. McIntyre returned to action on Saturday after departing from RAW earlier in the week, facing Seth Rollins in a World Heavyweight Championship rematch from the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event. Despite his efforts, McIntyre was unable to secure the title once again, marking his first defeat in a singles match on a live event in 490 days.
McIntyre’s previous loss dates back to July 9th, 2022, when he was defeated by Roman Reigns. However, this loss marks his first defeat in a live event singles match since then. The Scottish Warrior has also lost on television, with the most recent example being WWE Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on November 4th. Recently, McIntyre has shown a different side of his character, engaging in conversations with Rhea Ripley backstage. After his loss to Seth Rollins at Crown Jewel, Mami, a former WWE Superstar, confronted him, fueling speculation that he might join the heel stable, The Judgment Day, in the near future.
As Survivor Series approaches, rumors have circulated that The Scottish Warrior could become the fifth member of The Judgment Day and JD McDonagh’s team in the WarGames match. Additionally, there are speculations of Randy Orton’s return to align with Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Seth Rollins, and Sami Zayn. Despite McIntyre not having inked a new deal with WWE yet, the company will continue to use him in the process.
