Singles Success Eludes Ridge Holland No More

WWE SmackDown (Via WWE/Twitter)

Ridge Holland has been a integral part of the Friday Night Smackdown roster since joining forces with Sheamus and Butch. However, his singles career has been stagnant, with only a handful of wins to his name. That was until Saturday, November 18, when he notched his first singles victory in over 8 months at the Saturday Night’s Main Event in Tupelo, Mississippi. Holland’s opponent was none other than Karrion Kross, a formidable foe who has been on a tear recently. In a shocking turn of events, Holland emerged victorious, marking his first singles win since March 5, 2023, when he defeated Cruz Del Toro at a WWE house show.

This much-needed win comes on the heels of Holland’s failed attempt at becoming a #1 Contenders match for the Undisputed Tag Team Title on Smackdown this past week. Despite falling short of his goal, Holland’s victory over Kross is a welcomed development for the wrestler. It remains to be seen what’s next in store for him, but this win could be just what he needs to get his singles career back on track.

Holland’s triumph over Kross was a testament to his determination and hard work. Kross is a dominant force in the ring, known for his aggressive in-ring style and athleticism. For Holland to come out on top, it speaks volumes about his skills and ability to adapt to any situation. This win could be a turning point for Holland, possibly leading to a renewed focus on his singles career and a possible push towards the top of the WWE hierarchy.

It will be interesting to see how the WWE brass decides to use Holland’s momentum from this win. Will they continue to plod along with his singles career, or will they take the opportunity to give him a meaningful push? One thing is for certain, Holland’s win over Kross is a positive development for the wrestler and fans alike. It’s a reminder that even in the face of adversity, determination and perseverance can lead to success.
