Prosecutors in New York say a man accused of attacking actor Steve Buscemi on a Midtown street is being held in jail on bond.

The 66-year-old actor, known for his roles in “Boardwalk Empire” and “Fargo,” was reportedly punched in the face while walking in Manhattan on May 8th by an unknown assailant.

Police arrested a suspect three days after releasing a photo of him. Buscemi’s publisher confirmed the incident, stating he received treatment for an eye injury but is otherwise fine.

The accused, a 50-year-old man, was arraigned on Saturday with bail set at $50,000. It’s unclear if he has legal representation yet.

The suspect is scheduled to appear in court again on Thursday. The criminal complaint alleges he assaulted two people, but their identities were not disclosed. Surveillance footage reportedly captured the attack on Buscemi.

In a separate incident in March, Buscemi’s co-star from “Boardwalk Empire,” Michael Stuhlbarg, was also attacked in Central Park, allegedly hit with a rock by another stranger.
