US Customs and Border Protection made a remarkable discovery at the San Diego-Mexico border crossing, where a truck’s cargo was mistakenly labeled as watermelons but, in reality, contained a substantial shipment of methamphetamine worth over five million dollars. On August 16, officers conducted a thorough inspection of the cargo, a tractor-trailer arriving from Mexico, which led to the unexpected finding. Beneath the pile of genuine watermelons, they uncovered 1,220 packages cleverly disguised as watermelons, wrapped in colored paper to resemble watermelon skins.
