In a recent interview on Busted Open Radio, Gunther made it clear that he wants to square off against Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 40, stating that he needs to prove himself against The Beast Incarnate.

Gunther believes that WrestleMania 40 is the perfect time to prove himself against Lesnar, stating that he feels like he’s the end boss to a lot of people and that Lesnar has perfected being an end boss. He wants to prove himself by going head-to-head with Lesnar in the ring. Lesnar was last seen on WWE television during SummerSlam, where he lost to Cody Rhodes, and has been absent since.
