LAFC are currently engaged in advanced negotiations to secure the services of Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris for MLS.
At 37 years old, Lloris is in the final year of his contract with Spurs and has not featured in any matches this season under coach Ange Postecoglou.
Sources indicated that while the deal is close to being finalized and agreed upon, it is expected to be completed without involving a transfer fee.
Spurs made a significant signing in the goalkeeper position by acquiring Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli for £17.2 million ($21.9m) in June, with the Italian quickly establishing himself as Postecoglou’s preferred choice between the posts.

During the summer, Lloris was free to depart but declined offers from Lazio, Nice, and teams in the Saudi Pro League.
The former France international joined Tottenham from Lyon in 2012 and, following initial competition with Brad Friedel for the starting position, secured his place as the club’s number one goalkeeper.
Over his tenure at Spurs, Lloris amassed more than 400 appearances and was appointed captain for the 2015-16 season by then-manager Mauricio Pochettino. Subsequently, he passed on the armband to Son Heung-Min shortly after Postecoglou’s arrival.
Lloris achieved the pinnacle of international success by captaining France to a World Cup victory in 2018, eventually retiring from international duty in January 2023 as France’s all-time appearance leader with 145 caps.
