NXT Tournament That Cody Rhodes Announced to Be Held This Week

Back in October, on what was dubbed “the biggest NXT of all-time” (the episode stacked with talent to compete against AEW Dynamite), Cody Rhodes made several announcements.

One key announcement was the return of the Men’s Breakout Tournament for the first time since 2021.

Rhodes mentioned that it would follow this year’s Women’s Breakout Tournament, which was won by Lola Vice at Halloween Havoc. Although it took over a month, NXT revealed last night (Dec. 5) that the men’s tournament will kick off next Tuesday.

The announcement video also introduced the eight competitors: Riley Osborne, Keanu Carver, Tavion Heights, Dion Lennox, Luca Crusifino, Myles Borne, Trey Bearhill, and Oba Femi. Only Carver and Lennox will be making their television debuts, while the others have wrestled on either NXT or Level Up.

We don’t have a bracket yet or information on which match or matches will take place on the Dec. 12 episode.

However, feel free to make your predictions in the comments. Additionally, share your thoughts on when the other tournament Cody Rhodes mentioned, the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, might begin.
