NXT Viewership Numbers Reflect Mixed Performance

WWE’s weekly episode of NXT has been consistently delivering decent viewership numbers, with some episodes seeing a boost in audience and others experiencing a slight decline. One of the most notable recent developments is the impact of the show’s brand refresh, often referred to as NXT 2.0, which has not yet resulted in a significant uptick in viewership.

The latest episode of NXT, which aired on January 17, brought in a viewership of 600,000 with a .14 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic, according to Spoiler TV. This marks a slight decline from the previous week’s episode, which averaged 700,000 viewers with a .15 rating in the same demographic. However, the decrease is not stark, and the show is still maintaining a steady fan base.

Looking back at previous episodes, the New Year’s Evil show did bring a viewership boost, with 653,000 viewers tuning in for the January 3rd episode and a .16 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. However, this was followed by a slight dip, with the December 27th episode bringing in only 588,000 viewers and a .12 rating in the same demographic.

The December 6th episode was noteworthy for being NXT’s lowest total viewership since May 31st, 2022, with only 534,000 viewers tuning in and a .13 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. Nevertheless, the show has shown resilience, with subsequent episodes bringing in decent numbers. The November 15th episode, for instance, managed to attract 663,000 viewers with a .17 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic.

It remains to be seen how WWE’s NXT will continue to perform in terms of viewership. The brand refresh, while initially met with skepticism, has clearly taken some time to resonate with fans. With the show’s writers and producers continuing to experiment with new storytelling and character development, one can only hope that the future brings a more consistent and engaging product that will bring more viewers to the table.
