Paul Heyman, the illustrious manager of champions in the WWE, has a history of creating iconic client-manager relationships. Roman Reigns and Ric Flair are just a few examples of the many “Paul Heyman Guys” who have benefited from his guidance. Saraya, a former wrestler, had always been fascinated by Heyman’s management style and wanted to be a part of his inner circle. In a recent interview with the Wrestling Crossover, Saraya revealed that she once approached Heyman about becoming one of his clients, desiring to be known as a “Paul Heyman Girl.”
Saraya’s gesture of admiration was evident in her actions. She said, “I wanted to be a ‘Paul Heyman girl’ so bad. Everyone wanted to be a ‘Paul Heyman girl,’ and I even said to him that I wanted to be a ‘Paul Heyman girl.’ I was in his book — he put me in his book, and I was like, ‘Oh my god, I love you.'” Heyman’s recognition of Saraya meant a lot to her, and despite not becoming a part of his stable on-screen, she still holds him in high esteem.

Though Heyman never officially paired Saraya with him in WWE, he was reportedly available backstage for guidance. It’s a shame that the two didn’t get to work together, as they would have likely made a fantastic team. Despite the missed opportunity, Saraya has moved on to have a successful career in AEW, leading a stable of heels under Tony Khan’s booking.
Meanwhile, Heyman continues to thrive in WWE, playing the role of Roman Reigns’ Wise Man within the Bloodline. The storyline has plenty of ground left to cover, and it’s clear that Heyman is a vital part of it. Fans are left wondering who could be the next “Paul Heyman Guy” or “Girl” and whether WWE missed out on an opportunity to reunite Saraya with Heyman.
