Donald Trump, the former president, has said again that he’s committed to keeping Social Security and Medicare safe. He promised not to make any changes that would hurt these programs that help older people.

In an interview, Trump said he wants to stop government waste, but he won’t touch Social Security and Medicare, even if it means finding savings elsewhere.

He said, “There’s so much cutting and so much waste in so many other areas, but I’ll never do anything to hurt Social Security.”

This comes after President Joe Biden accused Trump of planning to cut these programs. Trump said he might make changes in other parts of government, but not to Social Security and Medicare.

Earlier, Biden’s campaign used Trump’s words from an interview where he talked about fixing problems in these programs.

But Trump’s recent interview with Breitbart shows he’s still determined to protect Social Security and Medicare.

This is in line with what many Republicans believe, that these programs should stay the same while looking for ways to spend money better in other areas.

Even though they have different ideas, both parties agree that Social Security and Medicare are really important for older people.

Since these programs cost a lot of money, it’s important to talk about how to manage them well and make sure they can continue in the future.

Trump’s promise to keep Social Security and Medicare safe is meant to ease worries for older people and show how important it is to govern responsibly and protect these important safety nets.
