Bobby Lashley, the winner of the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on Friday Night SmackDown, is in dire need of an opponent for WWE WrestleMania this weekend due to Bray Wyatt’s unfortunate withdrawal from the event due to an illness. Lashley, eager to prove his worth, took to Twitter with a video offering to take on anyone at WrestleMania. In response, Chris Adonis, formerly known as Chris Masters in WWE, stepped up to Lashley’s challenge. Adonis boldly claimed that no one would be able to put on a better match with Lashley at this point in their career than him.
In his Twitter response, Adonis stated, “Fact is, no matter who they choose, nobody would be able to put on a better match at this point in their career than me. That’s the sad part in this not being a reality.” Adonis, best known for his “The Masterlock” finisher, a full nelson hold, is confident in his abilities to deliver a top-notch match against Lashley. This confidence stems from his extensive experience in the ring, having challenged several wrestlers to break his Masterlock Challenge storyline.
Interestingly, Adonis previously pitched a Hurt Lock-Master Lock feud with Lashley to people in WWE, indicating that he has always had a strong interest in competing against Lashley. Currently, Adonis is set to challenge Tyrus for the NWA Championship at NWA 312 in Chicago on April 7th.
The possibility of a rematch between Lashley and Adonis at WrestleMania has certainly sparked curiosity among fans. Will WWE consider Adonis as a potential opponent for Lashley? Only time will tell. For now, one thing is clear – Lashley is in need of a worthy opponent at WrestleMania, and Adonis is more than willing to step up to the challenge.
