Wrestling Legend ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin Keeps Options Open

As one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin’s return to the ring was met with excitement and curiosity. The WWE Hall of Famer retired nearly two decades ago, making occasional appearances on WWE television but never stepping back into the squared circle for a match. However, his surprising bout against Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38 sent shockwaves through the professional wrestling world, sparking rumors of a potential comeback.

Austin’s willingness to accept a challenge from Owens, a No Holds Barred contest, hinted at a possible return to the ring. The match marked his first competitive bout since his defeat at the hands of The Rock at WrestleMania XIX in 2003. Fans wondered if this was a one-time thing, or if Austin would consider facing the likes of Brock Lesnar, another WWE Hall of Famer, at WrestleMania 39. Unfortunately, plans for a match against Lesnar fell through, instead pitting him against Omos.

In a recent interview with Out of Character with Ryan Satin, Austin was asked about the possibility of returning to the ring for one more match. He remained open to the idea, stating, “Well, never say never. If the stars align again, hell, I mean, it could happen again, right?” Austin’s comments suggest that he is not entirely closed off to the prospect of another in-ring appearance.

While Austin has not received any offers or heard anything about an appearance at WrestleMania 39, his willingness to consider returning to the ring is a testament to the allure of professional wrestling. The idea of witnessing the Texas Rattlesnake lace up his boots one more time is tantalizing, leaving fans to speculate about the possibility of a future match. Will we see Austin at the Show of Shows? Only time will tell.

Regardless, Austin’s comments reaffirm the industry’s notion that anything is possible in professional wrestling, especially when the stars align. For now, fans can only wait and see what the future holds for this wrestling legend.
