Ronda Rousey returned to WWE during the 2022 Royal Rumble event after a nearly three-year absence from the company. Since her return, Rousey has won the Smackdown Women’s Championship twice, but failed to receive any desired reactions from the fans. It now appears that her WWE run is coming to an end. Recent events have hinted that Rousey’s departure from WWE is imminent.

During the Money In The Bank Premium Live Event, Shayna Baszler attacked Ronda Rousey in the final moments of the match, leading to Raquel and Morgan capitalizing to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. This unexpected turn of events set the stage for a maverick match pitting Baszler against Rousey at the upcoming WWE SummerSlam Premium Live Event.

According to Dave Meltzer’s report in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is no confirmation on whether Rousey’s SummerSlam match will be her last in WWE. However, it is expected that she will part ways with the company relatively soon. Rousey’s departure was reportedly accelerated due to the need to rush the turn angle with Baszler, indicating that her time with WWE is indeed drawing to a close.

The upcoming maverick match between Baszler and Rousey has generated significant interest, with fans eager to see whether Baszler will emerge victorious. It is likely that Rousey’s career in WWE will come to an end after SummerSlam, marking the end of an era.
