WWE’s Dakota Kai Facing Long Road to Recovery

Dakota Kai, a WWE superstar, made a surprising return to television screens in May 2022, teaming up with Bayley and Iyo Sky as part of the Damage CTRL faction. Her comeback was short-lived, however, as she suffered a painful ACL injury, which will keep her out of commission for several months. Kai’s most recent appearance was on Smackdown, where she joined her fellow Damage CTRL members to take on Charlotte Flair and Asuka, but fans shouldn’t get too excited – as Kai herself clarified, she’s far from healed.

During a recent Twitch stream, Kai addressed her health, revealing that she still has around six months to go before she’s cleared for an in-ring return. She stressed that her involvement on Smackdown was minimal, as she wasn’t part of any physically demanding segments. “There’s a misconception with me being on SmackDown. I’m not healed. You’ll probably notice that I’m not really involved with anything that requires ‘activity,'” she said. Kai’s statement sets the tone for what’s to come – a long and arduous road to recovery for the talented wrestler.

As fans wait to see when Kai will suit up again, it’s clear that she’s determined to get back to her in-ring duties as soon as possible. The question on everyone’s mind is what WWE has planned for the Damage CTRL member when she does return. Will she reclaim her spot as a top competitor, or will her prolonged absence impact her momentum? Only time will tell, but for now, Kai’s focus is on her health and fitness journey, with a keen eye on making a triumphant comeback.
