Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco suffered a concussion in the second half of Monday’s 20-14 defeat against the Las Vegas Raiders and was unable to continue playing. The Chiefs declared him out due to the injury.
Pacheco had returned to action against the Raiders after sitting out the previous two games with a shoulder injury. Despite scoring a touchdown on a 12-yard run, his impact was limited in his comeback, managing just 26 yards on 11 rushing attempts and catching four passes for zero yards.
Earlier on game day, the Chiefs placed veteran running back Jerick McKinnon on injured reserve because of a groin injury.
For the remainder of Monday’s contest, the Chiefs relied on Clyde Edwards-Helaire and La’Mical Perine in the running back positions. Perine had been promoted from the practice squad to fill McKinnon’s roster spot before the game.
